I chose to become one because I was just so disgusted by what people were doing to all of the poor animals. And just the taste of meat gave me the weirdest feeling! I was 9 years old when I made one of the best decisions in my life!

I tried to go vegan when I was about 12 years old, but it really didn't last. I don't think I honestly cared about the reason I was doing it, but my friend was trying to go vegan, so I did, too. I'm actually not vegan just yet, but a lacto-ovo vegetarian. I had on and off times over the past few months, where I'd find myself giving up for five minutes of selfishness. However, I've made my move and decided to go vegetarian almost a month ago. I did it for animal rights, mostly, as well as my health and green living.

I did it initially because of a bet i did with my cousins... haha. The winner was the one who could last a month without meat of any kind (we all loved meat) I won XD but after that, i began to wonder ''Is it necessary to eat meat? Or it's only a tradition? Is it fair?'' So, I began. I stopped eating ''red meats'' about two and a half years ago. But one day, i found the excuse to stop eating meat of any kind (that was on november/2008) My family hated the idea and they tried to make me eat meat again, but after fighting and fighting they finally understood and supported me

Hey Think Green!
I became a veggie because I love animals. I've always loved animals, and when I saw that video about how chickens are being tortured, it broke my heart. I first actually decided to go vegetarian for just a week, then, it was too easy, plus, I felt so much better! And I also realized that, how do I claim I love animals, while I'm killing them??? So I turned vegetarian
I turned veggie about 6 weeks ago, at the ends of my ten year old years, I'm now eleven

Hi, i became vegetarian 3 years ago, when i was 13. Before that i didn't eat a lot of meat and i have always loved animals. I didn't like the thought of an animal going through agonizing pain and suffering, just so they could sit on my dinner plate. They are animals just like us and deserve food, shelter, love and life. I hate the way others see themselves as the "superior" race...

i started at thirteen (pretty recently), it started as a hmmm what really happens at farms? thinking i would find a happy farmer in overalls and a straw hat playing with smiling animals in a big red barn i found the cruel process that went into the meat industruy. thats how i first decided to go vegeterian then i read a few books and articles and found that we give 40% of the worlds grains to the animals at that rate we could feed all the the humans in the world all 7 billion of them.

i first became one at 7 and now ten years later i still am! i decided that these days there is no requirement for meat. we have alternative options that do not involve the slaughtering of animals that we have no right to kill! animal cruelty among slaughter houses also disgusted me, and i thought that i do not want to destroy another life for my satisfaction when i can eat quorn! i adore all animals i couldnt stand the thought of a carcus in my mouth.
if all slaughter houses had glass windows, everyone would be vegetarian - paul mcartney

hi everyone!
Around 2 years ago i made one of the best choices of my life and became a vegetarian. Since i was born i have loved animals and have never been keen on meat and slowly started cutting down on my meat intake. At nine or ten years old i went pescetarian for half a year or so. Then i became vegetarian and have been for about 2 years as i previously said. I just dont know how people can just eat meat and not think about where it came from! I will not allow my body will not be a graveyard for animals.
