Dear Meenakshiamman!Thank You for the helpful links.I understand from Your profile that You are a follower of ISKCON.I am much interested in the guys from ISKCON,absolutely the teachings they've got.Please write to me on this.Considering the idea You propose for the answer to my question,I tend to point out here that Bible indeed must be explainable in all too many ways,& so You are right,if we accept the understanding of it,proposed by those links You have kindly sent me(thank You again).By the way,I take in the same way the hindu classical books.But this all is not the point that I was meaning when posting the topic.When we see Benedictus XVI very unhealthy on the screen,when we DO know the position upon feeding of 95% of world christians(all is fully allowable,no restrictions altogether & whatsoever!!),the position of like 2% of them,which You are attempting to take,that DOES restrict all their immense appetite in the full meaning of this word seems to me personally to be not the point here.Christianity in general is fully reluctant to accept ANY type of watching over just what they eat,making them the most unhealthy religious people of all that I have heard of.That was my point,highlighted in the post You kindly responded upon.Thank You again.Please write,we might discuss the much more pleasant theme of the Krishnaistic & other alike things.Dima

I have to say, eating meat, has nothing to do with Christianity. If you will look in the Christian Bible, people have eaten meat for years. I am a Christian, but I do not belong to any denomination. I do not like the things that go on in Churches today. To get back to your statement, God gives us all choices. No one has any room in this world to judge other people. I have not yet met a perfect person. I believe in treating each person I meet with respect. I am not judging you by your statement, you have a right to feel the way you want, I am just giving you my perspective on this topic. I think people have made life so difficult, that people are living life hard and stressed out. If we all could except each other for who we are, it makes life so much more pleasant.

My perspective on this matter is that if Christianity would progress with the truth they have been given with the discoveries of early Christian writings (e.g. - Nag-Hammadi Library, the Dead Sea Scrolls) and would break the shackles of their long held dogmatic views, then things such as eating meat would be understood as a destructive force that actually prevents them from moving past a certain point of spiritual attainment, among other things.

The failure to progress into a more Spiritual church has become their crux. The church is well known for creating atheism, for turning many in the opposite direction when pushing dogmatic views upon people who are not gullible like their followers. The church has leaders who push THEIR perspective of the scriptures upon young/old eager minds who soak it up as if it were the direct word of God.

I can honestly say that their stance on abortion is what's keeping them a float and respectable, but if the leaders in every church begin to seek the truth and truly seek to be a Sheppard of the Way, then there will begin a change towards a better church. But as long as they cling to the doctrines of old and put so much energy into their dogma, then it is evident to me that they will be digging their own grave, as they will surely reap what they sow.

And it was so.
Also, here's this from the Book of Daniel: Daniel convinces the eunuch to put the matter to a test. He assured him that after only ten days there would be a marked difference for the better between those eating pulse and water, and those eating the king's food. As Daniel predicted, after ten days, ". . .their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the king's meat." (Daniel 1:15)
