Hi everyone, I recently produced the new feature film FORKS OVER KNIVES. The movie examines the profound claim that most, if not all, of the degenerative diseases that afflict us can be controlled, or even reversed, by rejecting our present menu of animal-based and processed foods.

FORKS OVER KNIVES will make its theatrical debut for one week only in Portland at the Regal Fox Tower Theater January 7-13th. This week is important as it's the first time the film will be shown for a seven day run, with five showings per day. We'd appreciate your support!

My apologies for my delay in responding to your message on this group and my thanks for your giving us a heads-up about this exciting debut. And of course, much thanks are due to you for bringing this very timely and valuable film to the public! Whoever has been working on promoting Forks Over Knives in Portland seems to be doing a very good job. I know that I have personally been seeing and hearing about the film quite often and with increasing frequency.

While I have picked up and redistributed a number of the promotional "flyers" that I have seen around the city, I would like to do more to help spread the word. Is there someone I can contact to get more flyers to give out and/or to help spread the word in other ways? Also, will there be some sort of celebration or social event here in Portland that coincides with the debut?

Just joined this group and saw your response to John. Wish I had seen it before as we had more materials we could have given you. Northwest VEG worked hard to get the word out about this movie, printing postcards and posters because we thought it was a great outreach tool. Regal Fox Tower Theater let us have a table up in the lobby of their theater while the film is playing there, and we still have some materials there, but they were made for the premiere week. The film has been extended to Jan. 20. We had 10 sell-outs that first week. The Forks Over Knives people said we beat their expectations!!! Forks Over Knives kept on doing well and got extended for 5 weeks total. All good things come to and end though, so its run finally ended Feb. 10. It will be opening in about 20 cities in May though throughout the country, starting with New York and Los Angeles on May 6, and Seattle and San Francisco on May 13.
