Studies have shown that these spices are quite irritating to the digestive system. And as the saying goes "Irritating foods makes irritating people". These spices have been known to be carcinogenic and interruptive to the mucosal lining of the stomach. Therefore in many cases, vegan or not, you're more prone to getting ulcers and cancer with using these spices. As for vinegar, apple cider or other kinds, its fermented properties are more acidic than the stomachs hydrochloric acid. This can damage the lining of the stomach. Vinegar has also been known to wear away the tooth enamel of the teeth and cause damage to the kidneys.
