i always felt guilty about eating meat and fish and i couldn't understand why. no1 else around me cared about it, and i didn't have a problem with eating vegetables and fruit, but i was still killing them too, so it made no sense to me. but as i got older, i learned about the treatment of animals in the meat industry, and it started making sense to me. i started accumulating information about the environmental and health aspects of being vegan as well, and decided to switch completely, going "cold turkey" on consumption of all animal products. it feels right. i wake up every day and feel at peace with myself, knowing that what is on my plate in no way endorses cruelty or manipulation or abuse of other living sentient beings.
