I looked up the recipe and I'm pretty sure it had yogurt in it, and they insisted I eat the Mango Pudding because there was no milk, and that recipe I just saw calls for Evaporated Milk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I feel absolutely horrible, I wish I could vomit this out!!!angry smiley
I'm so frustrated with being in another country I could scream!!!!!!!!!!!! But i do love it here at the same timeDisappointed

Hmm, not sure about the restaurant you went to, but Indian restaurants do tend to use a lot of dairy. Is the recipe you saw their recipe or another recipe for mango pudding?

Japanese vegetable curry is usually vegan if you go for that sometime.

Thanx for your help...i think I'm going to just stay away from them, until I can figure out how to say exactly : "no dairy ingredients" in Japanese, I haven't gotten that far yet.

I looked up a few recipes online, and just about all of them called for dairy, except those that were specifically vegan, so that answered my question. YUCKgoin crazy
