This is most definitely a paradox. I am vegan. Several of the vegan's that I know are abolitionist and seemingly among the most conservative people I know. Yet, most of them are pro choice. Furthermore, most of them are not Christian. I just don't get it. How can anyone be so radically concerned about the rights of animals and yet not be equally concerned about human life?
In support of this paradox, many abolitionist that I have met are so stuck on animal rights that they seems to dislike most people (as most people are not vegan and certainly not abolitionist), so maybe this is the root of the problem. Despite the broken logical of abolitionism, this is among the many reasons why I don't believe I could be an abolitionist myself. Sadly, it gives vegans a bad name because people think that all vegans are associated with this most outspoken yet small faction of radicalize vegans.
Not all vegans are opposed to abortion.
