Has anyone been to Veggie Fest before? This year it's Aug 13 & 14 in Naperville.
Guess I'm wondering if this is more of an event geared toward ppl new to vegetarianism. Being a vegan, is it worth a 2 hr drive? And curious, is it in Naperville every year?
Hi, I volunteered to work at this event 2 years ago. It is quite large in size, with many vendors, foods, and activities, and I don't think it matters if you are new or not. I certainly enjoyed it. It is sponsored by a religious group based in Naperville so I do think it is there each year.
I went to Veggie Fest last year and didn't think it was anything to write home about. If I lived in or near Naperville I'd go, but it's certainly not worth the trek from the city. That's at least what both my bf and I thought. Let me know if you have any other questions.

It will be bunch of vegan food at the festival and usually a lot of giveaways.

I'll be honest w/ you, I didn't go to VeggieFest this year b/c it sounded more vegetarian than vegan. This last month I've been trying to go completely vegan and I've found that during my transition I just can't be around dairy products (especially cheese!) b/c the temptation is too great.
