Do you find it more effective to read the book (if there is one) before you see the movie so you are not tainted as to what the characters look and sound like or to see the movie (to get a visual) before you read the book?

I always try to read the book first. I don't like the way Hollywood casts some of the characters. Or should I say "miscasts"?
