Welcome fellow veg-progressives

I find that many who are vegetarians are also progressive in their thought in other areas. As a liberal-agnostic-vegetarian, I'm hoping others out there feel as strongly in the minority as I do and wish to meet like-minded people.

I am a vegan feminist agnostic for peace.

I like to think that says it all.

Well... this morning I was speaking with a friend exactly about this. Can a very "conservative-religious" etc., etc. person be a vegetarian that respects animal rights? If his/her vegetarianism is because of compassion for animals, I think it's improbable. But if it's because "health reasons" the answer could be positive.
I strongly agree with you, Jimbomatic, about the great probabibily of being a vegetarian and having progressive thinking in other areas, too. Because, we wanted or not, reject a "typical meal" such us meat is a subversive act against "predominant thinking". You're saying to the rest of the world: "It doesn't matter what do you think it's normal or not, I know what is right or not, no matter what the rest of the people say"
