Hi Everyone,

We're getting ready to launch a new version of HappyCow in the next couple weeks.
As a result of this redesign we've decided to phase out the group sections.
We're sorry about this, but need to do this to keep HappyCow strong and our focus clear.

Hi veggies, I'm new to this site and to this group, and just browsing around I noticed that some people were sort of contemplating whether there is a link between atheism and veg*ism.

Why are so many vegetarians also atheist? Obviously not all are, so you can't directly link ... Read More »

Is it really progressive to turn one's back on G-d. Even if man created Him, man created electricity and the atom bomb and these things are very real also.

I wonder why it is that so many vegetarians/vegans are also agnostics/atheists. It could just be that both groups are more progressive thinkers.

For me, I was raised in a Christian family my whole life and started questioning religion only two years ago, around when I was fifteen or ... Read More »

I'm not sure whether this fits here (discussing religions in an atheism/agnosticism forum), but considering myself an agnosticist, I can not help but understand that all world religions seem to be rather cleverly set up sets of rules made by man to enable people to live ... Read More »

I don't think there is a correlation between vegetarianism and atheism, but there definitely is one between some types of veganism and atheism.

Hi, I am new and was pleased to see a common theme of questioning whatever belief system you find yourself positioned in, but this can be within the family, a nation, a religion, or even the global economic system. I think globalisation is contributing to ecological destruction, animal suffering ... Read More »
