Is it really progressive to turn one's back on G-d. Even if man created Him, man created electricity and the atom bomb and these things are very real also.

I don't think there is a correlation between vegetarianism and atheism, but there definitely is one between some types of veganism and atheism.

my whole family is baptist christian and i dont believe in god there for i dont study it anymore!

I find that many who are vegetarians are also progressive in their thought in other areas. As a liberal-agnostic-vegetarian, I'm hoping others out there feel as strongly in the minority as I do and wish to meet like-minded people.
