I don't think there is a correlation between vegetarianism and atheism, but there definitely is one between some types of veganism and atheism.

Is it really progressive to turn one's back on G-d. Even if man created Him, man created electricity and the atom bomb and these things are very real also.

my whole family is baptist christian and i dont believe in god there for i dont study it anymore!

I wonder why it is that so many vegetarians/vegans are also agnostics/atheists. It could just be that both groups are more progressive thinkers.
