This video is so powerful with you guys inside the store and right in front of the meat counter. AWESOME PROTEST. It's impressive how a small group of people can have such a big impact. Even if it doesn't feel like you're having a big influence at the time, our actions have ripple effects. I was struck by the fact that you were protesting on private property. All protests I've been involved with, we are always so careful to stay on only public property.

Sounds like u alreay have all sorts of creative protest ideas. The protests I've done usually involve the typical... handing out literature on street corners; handing out informational pamphlets in front of an arena where ppl are entering an offensive event like a circus or rodeo.

I organized a protest once where we made a huge banner the size of 3 lanes of traffic and hung it from the pedestrian bridge over Lake Shore Drive during morning rush hr in Chicago. It was right before Thanksgiving and it said, "Holidays are Murder on Turkeys". One of my friends wore a turkey costume and we would wave at the cars and ppl would honk in support. The traffic helicopters saw it, cuz we caused a traffic jam, word got out and a few radio stations sent guys over to interview us. The trick was it is illegal to physically hang a banner from the bridge b/c it is City property. We had to hold on to the banner the whole time, so it was not physically touching City property and we would not be breaking any laws. It was a heavy banner! Still, the police came and politely asked us to move it out. We knew we weren't breaking any laws but they had let us protest for a good long time, so we complied.

What the others wrote above and exactly what i first thought when seeing these people:

"Powerful" also courageous and history in the making!

In future, when we human-animals have truly evolved beyond our cave-dweller/destructo/homo-centric mentality and realize the error of our ways, there will be history books about the people who led early efforts to end suffering/abuse/needless pain/torture of all animals - You people in the video will be in those history books.

This is fantastic! If you have any more protest videos, can you please post another one? They are so inspiring.

As to your question of how do I promote veganism...Geez, your video makes me feel like a real lame-o for not doing enough. But I guess they say the smallest good deed is better than the grandest good intention. So..over the weekend there were signs all over in the town I was visiting advertising a circus. It was a circus that was notorious for animal abuse. So I took down a few of the promo signs (they were on public property), left the word "Circus" that was printed on top of the sign stay there and then painted the words "Animal Cruelty" in red over the rest of it and put them back. My own little mini-protest I guess.
