I am very aware of animal abuse as well as the cruelty and testing of all animals.
I was sitting in an animal shelter observing all the animals,those that are not bought fast are put out back to be euthanized.I was observing the cats,I chose this one cat that looked like she had been through the mill & back,she was ready to be put to sleep when I went to the desk & told them I wanted to adopt her,it took longer than I had expected for them to release her,I felt she was very sick by her actions,not eating or drinking for the four weeks I was there,I reported this and the workers / volunteers were very rude,I found it odd that it appeared to be a money making racket,selling us some one elses pets.The donation cup was filled with large bills.Before I took my cat home the shelter person stated that if I didn't for any reason want this cat to return her before my thirty days were up other wise I do not get a refund,I was hurt to think this was like a production line buying cars.
When I took my cat home she was frightened for more over three weeks,she always watched my hands,which was very unusual for the many animals I have had in the past.She continued to throw up but then started to throw up dark blood.I took her to the vets.he said she has no liver what so ever,
also she had cancer"both"for quite some time.She was the sweetest;smartest cat ever! & for knowing she would not out live her time here.She lived with me in severe pain for six weeks,and she let me know when she was ready to go.How cruel & inhumane can a world be?
I am all for peta.org Thank you for allowing me to post here.It means a lot to me,in remembering my sweet kitty,that she did not & will not have died in vain.Peace. RIP

It wasn't long ago that I recieved a letter from iams as to the testing of animals in their labs,I think this to be the sadest ever.Animals were found to have the same immunity as humans have.It's sad to hear so many cats were put to sleep because of aids.Now all animals are being injected with diabetes,and many other sad diseases.For many,many centuries animals were self healing.


In memory of my sweet little girl Zoey;she will be missed very much.
No more labs/no more pain & suffering..........sleep

Of all the cruelties inflicted on animals, animal testing seems to me to be the most horrific. There are so many alternatives out there, there is no reason to use animals. I was shocked to read that the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act does not require companies to test their products on animals. Did you know they even encourage finding alternatives to animals, yet most companies don't.
When buying household cleaners, cosmetics and skincare, please look for products not tested on animals, and stop supporting a cruel industry. Look for the leaping bunny logo on the packaging. For a list of companies that do not test their products on animals, go to leapingbunny.org.
