Hello, I'm Zoe, and I currently am in high school. I take food technology (Home Economics) as a subject, and as part of our final study we have to look at certain themes, such as special diets. I chose to pose the question with mine "Do Vegetarians get enough Protein?"

Now I want to get a wide range of data, and its only ten quick quetsions. If you are interested, please leave a message on here, and a way I can contact you, and I'll happily send you the ten questions.

Any help will be appreciated.

Zoe

Hi again.

To make it easier to respond, I'm putting all the questions on here. All you need to do is select one of the options in the brackets, I provide, other than on question three. On question three, can you describe your diet? Thank you again for reading this. I only need a few more people to take part.

Zoe

2) Were you influenced by other vegetarins? (Yes, No)

3) To what degree are you a vegetarian?

4) How easy do you find buying vegetarian foods? (Very Easy, Easy, Not very easy, Difficult)

5) Are any of your friends/family vegetarians? (yes, no)

Hello Zoe,

OK, I'll play!

1) Why did you become a vergetarian? (protest, enviroment, health, culture, family) -> Concern for animals (is that 'protest'?)

2) Were you influenced by other vegetarins? (Yes, No) NO

3) To what degree are you a vegetarian? Vegetarian (dairy, eggs) for 20 years, Vegan (no animal products) for 1 year

4) How easy do you find buying vegetarian foods? (Very Easy, Easy, Not very easy, Difficult) Easy

5) Are any of your friends/family vegetarians? (yes, no) NO

6) Do you think vegetarianisim is a healthier option? (Yes No) YES

7) Have you had any negative health issues to do with your diet? (Yes, No) NO

8) Do you take an iron supliment (Yes. No) NO

9) Do you think you get enough protein? (Yes, No) YES

10) Do you know what foods provide protein? (Yes, No) YES

The usual Statistical date: 40, male, Caucasian, married, university degree, living in Germany, Europe

Allow me to suggest a few things:

1) There is a great website called www.surveymonkey.com that allows you to design surveys (putting these 10 questions up on the net possibly will take you 15 minutes) so people can answer them anonymously and you can get some basic reporting functionality

2) also consider sites like http://www.savvyvegetarian.com/articles/protein-veg-diet.php to inform yourself more about vegetarian food and protein needs - also good to point to participants of your study who say that they do not know enough about their nutrition intake.

3) also consider 'The China Study', a very educational book telling that most people (vegetarians and meat eaters alike) actually get too much protein.

Hope that helps you...

Best regards,
Andy
