It is very well documented that Edison killed THOUSANDS of animals in his labs - cats, dogs, horses, elephants, etc. He personally wrote letters to animal shelters requesting animals on which he could perform painful, deadly experiments. Bragging that Edison was a vegetarian is rather a shameful thing. Indeed, he may have been a vegetarian but given his deep personal enjoyment in the exhibition of the death of animals he was certainly not a vegetarian for any ethical reason. |
