About: Fiona Oakes has been vegan since the late 80s, is a patron of CAPS (Captive Animal Protection Society) and also runs Tower Hill Stables Animal Sanctuary, a not-for-profit organization which she cares for over 400 rescued animals. An ex-Olympian (Cycling Barcelona 1992), Fiona is also now the Essex Marathon Champion course record holder despite having a knee replacement. Fiona has secured top 10 places in a number of International marathons. Fiona was awarded the Vegan Achievement Award in 2004 by the Vegan Society.
