"Every time we sit down to eat, we make a choice. Please choose vegetarianism. Do it for … animals. Do it for the environment, and do it for your health.” That's what he said. So? He's a vegetarian!

There is a long article about Alec in the Sept 8 2008 issue of THE NEW YORKER magazine. It states simply that he is a vegetarian.(does not say why or how long)

If he is with PETA and is against animal cruelty, then why he wouldn't be?

I guess it's a sign of talent that people associate his uptight, crazy right-wing and hypocritical character with him even though he's actually an outspoken liberal. I didn't believe he was actually vegan when I first heard that, but I guess he is now -- I'm finding his name mentioned alongside the likes of Bill Clinton in last year's news magazines concerning the upper class vegan diet trend.
