As there aren't any vegetarian restaurants in Stornoway, I am posting the wording of an ad I saw in the local newspaper:
"Restaurants where vegetarians matter - When we asked a number of vegetarians about eating out, they said they avoided it because they did not feel well catered for. At Solas, the Boatshed, HS-1 and Eleven, we offer imaginative vegetarian and fish options for those who prefer not to eat meat - and if you don't see what you like on the menu, our chefs are always delighted to prepare a special treat, for you. Why not book a table and enjoy a great meal with first-class service? We promise to make you feel welcome."
Solas is at Cabarfeidh Hotel. The Boatshed and HS-1 are at the Royal Hotel, and Eleven is at Caladh Inn. I cannot vouch for any of these restaurants personally.
