Watch out if you take a taxi cab in Bucharest. I have never been anywhere with so many of the taxi drivers trying to rip me off as a tourist with hugely inflated taxi fares. It felt like all of the cabs drivers were at this (but there were a 2 or 3 who were not). Bucharest is the worst place I have been for this. There is a very inexpensive metro system in Bucharest to help getting around.
