In Florence some streets have dual numbering sequences taking place. The numbering sequence for a particular address is identified by the colout of the number. For example in a street you have door number 34 blue that is next door to 66 red. Then the next door along can be 36 blue followed by 38 blue then followed by 68 red. Not all streets are like this but in the ones with dual numbering it is very confusing if you haven't twigged on to this. Hence why some addressed are listed as for example being door number 39/r (the 'r' means red numbers.
Best of luck.

We enjoyed our meal here, particularly the starters. The vegan puddings were somewhat of a punishment for being vegan - all oats and seeds. Good range of vegan food. Unusual routine - you go in, order your food and pay at the till. Your order is written down on a scrap of paper which you then give to whoever is serving behind the food counter and wait with your tray to get your order, before sitting down. If not eating alone, one of you might want to grab a table immediately, as it gets busy.

A take-away/cafe on Via Palazuolo (very limited seating perched on stools) with a good range of vegetarian Middle-Eastern pitas - humous, foul, falafel etc. Great for lunch.

Basic Middle-Eastern vegetarian fare, with some fish on the menu, and limited vegan options. Useful on a Monday, when Florence's other vegetarian placed are closed.

This was by far my favourite place in Florence. Delicious food, and a wonderful atmosphere - a relaxed covered garden area out the back with low lighting and chilled out tunes. Proprietors don't seem to speak English though, so you will need some Italian.
