Everywhere the city exudes vibrance, hip-ness, progress, cultural diversity, vegetarian restaurants, and vegan cafes. San Francisco is a small city with a big heart and a bohemian soul, and it's totally vegetarian friendly.

San Francisco can be an expensive city, and hotel prices aren't super cheap. We've been scouting for deals and here is the best option we've found for the area near the upcoming events:

Nearby, fashionable Union and Chestnut streets offer some of the city's most charming restaurants, cafes, bars and great boutique shopping. Only a short walk or bike ride away are the Marina Green, Fort Mason, Golden Gate Bridge and Presidio National Park.

Nearby Veg Restaurants.
While there aren't a ton of Vegetarian Restaurants within a short walking distance, there are a couple good spots worth visiting:

Greens Restaurant, Fort Mason
All veg, with vegan options. You can also take food away and get pay less at Greens-To-Go take away counter.

The Plant Cafe Organic - Marina Cafe, 3352 Steiner St (at Chestnut)
Organic food cafe offering an extensive menu featuring raw juices, smoothies, soups, panini sandwiches and veggie burgers, Asian-style main entrees. Not all veg, but very vegan-friendly.

There's also a Whole Foods Market that's about a mile away.

Two famous veg spots are in the area (if you like to walk): Millennium and Golden Era which are under 2 miles away.

Hotel Features.
Amenities at Americas Best Value Inn Golden Gate include coffee in the lobby. Guests are served a complimentary breakfast each morning. Guest parking is complimentary. The front desk is open 24 hours a day.

Guestrooms.
Amenities featured in guestrooms include air conditioning, televisions, and clock radios. In addition, amenities available on request include refrigerators, microwaves, and wake up calls. Guestrooms have satellite television with HBO. Business friendly amenities include desks and voice mail. Each guestroom features unique furnishings. Bathrooms provide shower/tub combinations and hair dryers. Rollaway beds are available on request. All guestrooms at Americas Best Value Inn Golden Gate are non smoking.

Mark you calendar! During the last weekend in September each year, The San Francisco Vegetarian Society hosts a World Vegetarian Day. It's 2 full days filled with education, veggie food, and entertainment. There is a small entrance fee which will give you access to all the speakers, workshops, and the exhibition hall that houses veggie food vendors and retailers.
