I visited this beautiful country in the early nineties, however, from what I can tell from friends who have been there recently, it is still a very nice place to visit. I did the East Coast from Cairns down to Melbourne, to Victoria, and cities in between. I loved the great barrier reef and snorkeled with beautiful fish there. The beaches were beautiful, fine sand. The shopping in large cities is quite good. Sydney harbor has pretty good restaurants and the opera house is a beautiful architectural site to see. I would definately return to Australia...I also loved the sense of humor of the locals. ;)
