Bare bones, no frills operation; not a place to linger over a meal but food is tasty enough. Very friendly staff, with English spoken sometimes. Note: they close early, about 12:30 for lunch and about 6:30 for dinner. Cash only. Open daily for all meals.

Managed by the local Buddhists. Very nice atmosphere. Large choice of mock meat dishes. Try the vege shrimp. The staff speaks English, and is incredibly friendly. The interior is ornate and decorated in the Tibetan Buddhist style, complete with two large gold statues of Buddha. The entire restaurant is run for charity, so all profits are put back into the community. A taxi ride from central Hanoi to this location costs about 72,000 VND (~$3-4 US dollars).
