Tainan is the 4th largest city in Taiwan, located pretty far down on the west coast. The city has lots of very old temples and forts built by the dutch hundreds of years ago. It is considered the cultural center of Taiwan by many, and the city center is small enough to walk around easily. Although still a bit polluted, it is not as bad as Taichung or Kaoshiung.
