妙香林素食 is the Chinese name of this veggie buffet restaurant. All-you-can-eat for 60NT$ (Nov 2009). Has vegetarian sashimi and spring rolls. Direction: Location is just west of the old (and still good) vegetarian cafeteria (has nice avocado that they grow on their farm) in the Student Activity Centre 學生活動中心.

Taohuayuan (桃花源) is the latest and fifth vegetarian restaurant at Chung Cheng University. It is a very nice restaurant for this area. It is built and decorated with railroad tiles and furnished with wooden furniture. It serves a variety of Western and Chinese vegetarian food, but is (surprisingly) not a Buddhist establishment, so they do use garlic and onions unless you ask them not to do so. Full set meals range from 120 to 180NT$. As the prices are more than double that of the others in the area, it is usually only frequented by professors and grad students. The restaurant also doubles as a cafe and serves various drinks throughout the day. Has outdoor seating.

一誠素食館 is the Chinese name. Address in Chinese: 三興村神農路89號. A small, clean, and friendly veggie restaurant. Good set meals and curries for around 70NT$. Eggs are available if requested, otherwise, it is 100% vegan.
It is now located beside Nandamen 南大門, the large Korean restaurant in the group of restaurants known as Dachi 大吃 across from the main gate of the university. They have a slightly larger menu in Chinese and English.

Youji Shijie 有機世界 or Organic World is an organic and vegetarian store and snack bar. If you are looking for organic veggies, ask to go to the back where a wall of fridges contain an impressive supply for organic restaurants in the area. Ma Taitai runs the store and also provides weekend classes on the latest juicers, dehydrators, bread makers and other European health conscious machines that she sells here. Chinese address: 東榮路.
