A large and upscale vegetarian buffet on the first floor of the Jen Dow International Hotel (the second floor has a vegetarian Chinese restaurant). Is part of a chain of 5-star vegetarian buffets and has locations in Taipei and Shanghai. Buffet consists of soups, faux meat entrees, vegetable entrees, dim sum, a sushi bar, a large dessert bar, a noodle bar, a salad bar, a juice bar, a chocolate fondue fountain, and an alcohol bar (which is pay only). Eggless options are marked in Chinese with a sign that says no egg but dairy free options are not marked so vegans please inquire. Reservations recommended for dinner.

Buffet selection includes small salad bar and a few varieties of sushi/seaweed, noodles, vegetables, stews, dumplings, and bean curd dishes. Choice of white or brown rice. Egg dishes seem easy to spot and steer clear of. Not priced by weight, as in some other Taiwanese buffets - cashier looks at your selection and calculates a price. There's also a choice of soups (including Chinese herbal, and mixed fungi) that are priced separately. Lots of simple, but pleasant, fan-cooled seating on 2nd floor. Look for a sign in English "Vegetarian Rice Dumplings". Address in Chinese: 高雄市鹽埕區大義街131號. Open 7:00-20:30, closed 2nd and 4th Sunday.
