Hualien is a medium-sized city midway down the East coast of Taiwan. The best part about this city is the surrounding natural beauty within easy reach. About 45 minutes north is Taroko National Park, which is arguably the most amazing in Taiwan. There are also nice beaches nearby, as well as many other places that are well worth exploring.
