Lovely little macrobiotic cafe with health food store downstairs. Limited menu, lots of drinks. Try the pita sandwich set, costs around 1000yen. Lunch only served until 14.30, after that desserts and drinks only. Directions: From Peace Park on Heiwa-Odori, go west away from downtown and Hiroshima Station, over two bridges, after the second bridge, turn left at the third traffic light (there's a video store on far left corner). Restaurant is on the right side of road from there in between a post office and a gas station. Address in Japanese: 広島県広島市西区西観音町18-4. Open 10.30-18.30, closed Sun.

Direction: From peace park on Heiwa-odori (peace boulevard) go west away from the park, past Hana Hotel Hiroshima and Mitsui Garden Hotel, turn left onto Chuo-Dori, continue north on Chuo-dori for about 4 blocks, and the cafe is on the left. From Parco department store, go west away from Hon-dori (the big covered arcade of shops), turn right onto the main street Chuo-Dori, walk south on Chuo-dori for about 3 blocks, and the cafe is on the right.

Directions: From Hiroshima station take bus 24 and get off at Koseinenkin-kaikan stop, or from Peace Park walk south for 5 minutes. Soy cheese and vegan cake now available. Open Mon-Sat 12pm-11pm, Sun 5pm-11pm.
