The African Hebrew Israelite Community also lives in Dimona. Everyone is vegan. There is a restaurant (with delicious soft-serve vegan ice cream "gleedah" in hebrew, a market, a bakery, and often enterprising youngsters selling "frozen cups" of shaved ice sweetened with fruit juice in the summer. There is a lot for those seeking a veggie-natural-healthy lifestyle. The "Kifar" (village) as the community's base is known, is familiar to all cab drivers in the city. It's easy to find. if you're veggie...you'll be glad you did!
