Tempeh and tofu are quite popular in indonesia, sometimes restaurants and warang (street vendors) don't have it.
I found that you can easily buy some from the market and then take it along to the restaurant. The chef is always happy to cook it for you.

Back to Indonesia Vegetarian Restaurants & Health Food Store Listings
Please help us improve this site...
Here, at HappyCow's Vegetarian Guide to vegetarian restaurants and health food stores, we strive to bring the most accurate information on Vegetarian Restaurant and Health Food Store listings to the internet. This site is made by vegetarian travelers for travelers (mostly), and we know how it is to travel across a new town in search of vegetarian food only to find that the restaurant no longer exists. We also know that some of the Vegetarian Restaurants and Health Food Stores already posted might be out-of-date, and we apologize for that.
Get involved! Whether you are at home or traveling, please contribute to this site!
