A wonderful beautiful place to eat and enjoy the day at the Garden that is also a home and school for children(orphans). Restaurant is operated by volunteers and all proceeds go to maintaining the organization. Sometimes the children will help out in the restaurant. Breakfast features fruits, hot & cold cereal, breads, and drinks. Lunch set menu consists of organically grown salad greens, freshly baked breads, soup, daal, rice or quinoa, and a cookie; or you can order a la carte. Sunday brunch features whole grain french toast and waffles. Open Mon-Sun 10am-3pm, and a special Saturday dinner (usually pizza) from 6:30pm. The only place in Laxmanjhula with good coffee and real cappucino and a must-try ginger honey lemon drink. Cash only. Expensive for local standards but moderate for foreigners. Directions: Located away from the main part of town, away from the bridge. From the bridge above Devraj restaurant, walk north up the hill and into alleys that will lead you there. Look for signs or just ask someone. A HappyCow favorite!

Two large restaurants side-by-side on a main strip of the shopping area catering to pilgrams and foreigners. Moderate prices for local standards but affordable for foreigners - dosas, samosas, rice, and more. There is are 2 fat men both painted purple that sits at the door to each of the restaurant to attract passer-bys. Facing the restaurants, the one on the left is the older and the one on the right is newer. Both have inside and top floor patio seating. Open til late. Cash only.

Dinner set meals consists of a tea, rice, daal or potatoes, salad, chai (has milk) and sometimes chapati bread & chai tea. Vegans ask to have without ghee (butter). Moderate-expensive by local standard but affordable for foreigners. Price includes all you can eat refills. Cash only. For directions, just ask one of the local foreigners for "the Ayurvedic place." Open daily 12-2:30pm & 5:30-9:30pm.
