Sheraton Chola
Peshwari: they have no clue what vegan is and even when told 'no dairy' they keep trying to bring you food with ghee in it.
Shanghai Club: very good Chinese with lots of tofu dishes available.
Taj Coromandel:
Southern Spice: Didn't have a clue what vegan was and the non-dairy request was met but the staff seemed very worried about it.
Taj Connomera:
Raintree: totally understood 'no dairy' and made me fantastic vegan thalis. Upon repeat visits, they would create new vegan thalis just so I wouldn't get bored. Excellent service. Best meals in Chennai.
Hip Asia: Good selection of vegetarian options from around the far east. Some tofu dishes and they'll create custom tofu sauces for upon request. Great service.
All of the big hotels have HUGE breakfast buffets with plenty for vegetarians and vegans.
