Subject: 'Numerous Indian Restaurants in Tanzania'

Tanzania has a sizable Indian population, and thus they have quite a few Indian restaurants (with some vegetarian dishes) and some other restaurants that have some Indian dishes in addition to dishes from other cuisines. Thus, Tanzania is at least moderately vegetarian friendly. Only a few restaurants are completely vegetarian though. There aren't too many opportunities to eat strictly local vegetarian Tanzanian food, but you can have ugali (which is similar to polenta) with mixed vegetables and sauce (make sure if the sauce is vegetarian, though it usually is). In addition to ugali, plantains and rice are commonly used as the starch.
